My first quilt

Here is a photo of my first quilt - enjoyed doing it and have fabric for a baby quilt in the same style for my supervisors first baby. I do plan to embroider the larger blocks with baby animals and embroider a poem on the stripes. It will be done in flannel. Right now I am waiting to see what she is going to have - fabric is appropriate for both boy or girl but want to wait in any case. She is only 16 weeks into her pregnancy. I saw something on the internet though that I think I will do - on the stitch out for the embroidery, you make a baby bib to match the quilt; one way to use the stitchouts!!
